Back in June our cohort 2 EmpowHER group held a great get together event at Bethany House as part of their social action project. The event was part of the great get together inspired by Jo Cox weekend, which celebrated the life of the MP Jo Cox who was killed in 2016. The young people hosted an afternoon tea, where they played bingo and were entertained by a ukulele band , for some of the residents it was a rare opportunity to interact with young people and a good day was had by all. Special thanks to Bethany House for allowing us to host the event, Spirit of 2012, the Great Get together, British Red Cross and UK Youth for all your support.
